Student Staff

The Global Studio is staffed by student staff members who exemplify internationalization and multi-cultural experience. Front-line assistance is provided by studio assistants, who work regularly-scheduled shifts during which they respond to requests from students and faculty who use the lab. Student managers are experienced assistants who manage the Studio schedules and make sure that the assistants have the skills they need to work with the Studio's equipment and materials.

Student technology fellows are the unseen members of the student staff. They have specific skills that they use to support faculty or studio-based technology projects. Although they may hold office hours in the Studio to assist students with a task, they are more often "on call" to offer just-in-time assistance. Student technology fellows are also responsible for managing the World TV system, creating instructions and experimenting with new technologies.

The Studio is also the home base for the student staff of the Self-Directed Language Acquisition Program. Students who are fluent in Persian/Farsi, Hebrew or Turkish prepare learning materials and work with learners as language partners.
